Memories of John H. Dykes (Sailor Rest Your Oars!)

I got on this website looking for information about my father (John H. Dykes EN1 (SS)) who served on the Bergall during the '50's.   I was pleased and surprised to see his photo on the '55 crew party page!!    Never was I so excited to see him on the front row of the picture.    I have little information on the years that he was on the ship, so I will just give his name and rank as far as I know what it was at the time.  I also would like to have some of his shipmates contact me if they remember him and are still living.   I really would like to get in touch with some of them.

Dad died 2/16/1978.
