2340 | Radar contact on H.M.S. STOIC. Avoided. |

2100 | Commenced transit of Lombok. USS DACE 2,000 yards astern. |
2140 | First of a series of six radar contacts (SHIP CONTACTS 1 through 6) which were tracked by plot and avoided by much maneuvering. |
2355 | Cleared Stait. |

1415 | Sighted small AK about 100 tons (SHIP CONTACT #7). Due close proximity to Karimata Strait decided to avoid on the surface. |
