Subject: U.S.S. BERGALL - Report of THIRD War Patrol

(A) PROLOGUE  
  Returned from second war patrol 23 December 1944.   Refit undertaken by ship's force with aid of tender and twenty men per day from the relief crew.   State Engineering Company repaired battle damage to pressure hull.   Tested satisfactory to 450 feet.   Refit completed 4 January 1945.   Training included four days with MK.27 torpedoes and two night gunnery exercises.
