I served on the Bergall while she was based out of Pearl Harbor. Here's the sight that greeted us as we would come in to the sub base.


This is the way she looked when I rode her. She still had her deck guns and looked ready for action.

I sent a couple letters home at Christmas in '46 and the next month and found that my folks saved them for me.
