Election of officers saw Dick Fiske (SSN-667 1969-71) relieving Don Basham (SSN-667 1970-75) as President, Mike Sobkowski (SSN-667 1972-77) in the Vice President spot for Rod Lovdal (SS-320 1955-56).  Abe Kern (SS-320 1954-55), agreed to remain as Secretary and East Coast Archivist, as did

Sam McConnell  (SSN-667  1970-75) as Treasurer, and Chuck Kennedy (SS-320   1944) as West Coast Archivist. Thank you Don and Rod for serving the first five years.

 Shipmates in USSVI NEWS     “Mule” elected to USSVI RI Office

                RMCM(SS)  Charles J. (Mule) Mueller U.S.N. (Ret.), who qualified in SSN-667, (RM2) (72-75) was installed as the Vice Commander of the United States Submarine Veterans Rhode Island Base on 21 July 2005 .  The installation of new officers took place during the monthly meeting at the site of the Russian Juliett 484 Submarine in Providence, Rhode Island.  Following the meeting, attendees toured the 484, getting a feel for how our Soviet counter parts lived.   Congratulations Charlie.

LITTLE ROCK IN 2006

                Our next reunion is in Little Rock in conjunction with USSVI Inc., Convention 5 through 10 September 2006.  The Hospitality Room will be at the Doubletree Hotel, Little Rock.   More information will be promulgated as plans are firmed up. Each of this year’s attendees has been asked to bring a shipmate who wasn’t in attendance this year. All officers, crewmembers, wives and family of the SS 320, SSN 667 and S_324 as well as families and friends of shipmates who are "Resting Their Oars" are also always welcome.
