USS Pomodon (SS 486) was a Tench style boat, a lot different than our design
Tied up at the sub base PEARL HARBOR. some days there would be 20 subs tied up. Crew 7 officers & 65 Enlisted.

We were taking recordings of the thickness of the crust of the earth and we made over 1,000 dives, that is why we wore off the paint.
This was my home 1947-48-49. When I couldn't get what I wanted from the Navy, I got out and went to the Marines and got my wings...
