(a)   MK.7 Gyro MG sots failed after about 40 days continuous operation due to dirty commutators and excessive grease.   After cleaning, operated satisfactorily.

(b)   MK.7 Gyro failed same day again due to excessive dirt and grease on transformer analyzer slip rings.   After cleaning, operated satisfactorily.

(c)   No. 4 main engine govornor transmitter solsyn caught fire after about 30 days operation.   Power to solsyn was secured - condition now doubtful, cause unknown.

   NOTE:-  The above electrical casualties plus numerous electrical grounds occurred almost simultaneously not long after depth charge attack.
